Did you know? Full Moon in July is called a Buck Moon

Did you know?

The Full Moon in Aquarius at the end of July (July 29 to be exact) is also called the Buck Moon, so naturally I had to look up why. Apparently it’s named after the time of year when bucks are growing a brand new set of antlers. Which led me down another rabbit hole… did you know deer shed their antlers every single year? How Wyld.

I definitely feel like this is something I should have already known coming from a family of hunters… and my uncle being a taxidermist. Plus my dad’s side of the family has a hunting shack in Nimrod, MN that they’ve been slowly adding onto for years. It’s honestly kind of a collage… scrap lumber, found materials, things repaired instead of replaced. (My dad is the person that would rather fix something than buy a new one, or take it all apart to put it back together again)

So they spend most of the year getting everything ready… building deer stands, clearing trails, plotting food, making little improvements here and there, and naturally getting ready for the few weeks of hunting season. Which is basically what the deer do as well. They shed their antlers, and then grow a new pair.

Earlier this week I was already writing about trusting the process… but which process? I think this is one of those wyld processes that we can’t control or rush. Rhythm over Rush.
